Abandon Ship

Abandon Ship is a term used to describe the emergency situation in which a ship's crew and passengers are forced to leave the ship due to an imminent threat to their safety or the safety of the vessel. This can include situations such as fire, flooding, collision, or other catastrophic events. Abandoning ship is a last resort and is only done when all other options have been exhausted. The crew and passengers are required to don life jackets and board lifeboats or other rescue craft, and follow established procedures to ensure a safe and orderly evacuation.
