Alleyway

In maritime context, an alleyway refers to a narrow passage or walkway between two structures or compartments on a ship. These passages are typically used for accessing different areas of the ship, such as cabins, storage rooms, or machinery spaces. Alleyways can be found on all types of vessels, from small boats to large ships, and are an important part of the ship's layout and design. They are often lined with handrails or other safety features to prevent falls or accidents. In some cases, alleyways may also be used for emergency evacuation or as a secondary means of escape in the event of a fire or other disaster.
