Bills Of Lading

Bills of Lading (B/L) are legal documents issued by a carrier to a shipper that acknowledge receipt of goods for shipment. They serve as a contract of carriage, a receipt of goods, and a document of title. B/Ls contain information about the type, quantity, and destination of the goods being carried, as well as the terms and conditions of the shipment. They are used in international trade to ensure that the correct goods are delivered to the correct recipient at the correct destination. B/Ls can be negotiable or non-negotiable, and can be used as collateral for loans. They are an essential part of the shipping process and are required for the release of goods at the destination port.
