Birth Marks

Birth marks refer to the natural or man-made markings on a ship's hull that are used to identify and distinguish it from other vessels. These markings can include the ship's name, registration number, port of origin, and other identifying information. Birth marks are typically painted onto the hull using durable, weather-resistant paint, and are located in a prominent location that is easily visible from a distance. In addition to serving as a means of identification, birth marks can also be used to track a ship's movements and monitor its activities.
