Cargo Battens

Cargo battens are wooden or metal beams used to secure cargo in a ship's hold. They are placed horizontally across the cargo to prevent it from shifting during transport. Cargo battens are essential for maintaining the stability and safety of the ship, as well as protecting the cargo from damage. They are commonly used in the transportation of bulk cargo such as grain, coal, and ore. The size and number of cargo battens required depend on the type and quantity of cargo being transported, as well as the size and shape of the ship's hold.
