IAMSAR


The International Aeronautical and Maritime Search and Rescue Manual (IAMSAR) is a comprehensive manual for the use of search and rescue (SAR) services and other rescue personnel in both maritime and aviation contexts. It provides guidelines for the organization and operation of SAR services, as well as the coordination of SAR operations between different countries. The manual is divided into three volumes, with Volume I covering the organization and management of SAR services, Volume II covering the mission coordination and search planning aspects of SAR operations, and Volume III covering the mobile facilities and equipment used in SAR operations.
