Jack-up Rigs

Jack-up rigs are mobile offshore drilling units that are used for exploratory drilling and production of oil and gas in shallow water depths up to 500 feet. These rigs are equipped with legs that can be lowered to the seabed to provide a stable platform for drilling operations. The legs are jacked up using hydraulic systems, which allow the rig to be raised above the water level to avoid wave action and provide a stable working environment. Jack-up rigs are commonly used in the oil and gas industry for drilling in shallow water locations, such as the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, and the Middle East.
