Knocked Down

Knocked Down is a term used in maritime context to describe a situation where a vessel has been capsized or overturned by a heavy wave or wind. This can happen due to various reasons such as rough weather conditions, improper loading of cargo, or structural failure of the vessel. When a vessel is knocked down, it can cause serious damage to the ship and its crew. The vessel may lose its stability and become unable to right itself, leading to a potential loss of life and property. Therefore, it is important for the crew to be trained in emergency procedures and for the vessel to be equipped with appropriate safety equipment to prevent or mitigate the effects of being knocked down.
