MOB Procedures

MOB (Man Overboard) Procedures refer to the set of actions and protocols that are followed by a ship's crew in the event that a person falls overboard. The procedures are designed to ensure that the person is located and recovered as quickly and safely as possible. MOB procedures typically involve sounding the alarm, initiating a search pattern, and deploying rescue equipment such as lifebuoys and rescue boats. The crew will also need to communicate with the bridge and coordinate with other vessels in the area. MOB procedures are an essential part of maritime safety and are practiced regularly during crew training and drills.
