Power Take-Off

Power Take-Off (PTO) is a device used to transfer power from the engine of a vessel to auxiliary equipment such as pumps, winches, and generators. It is a mechanical system that allows the engine to power multiple devices without the need for separate engines or motors. PTOs are commonly used in marine applications where space and weight are at a premium. They are available in various types, including hydraulic, electric, and mechanical, and can be mounted in different locations on the vessel. PTOs are essential for the efficient operation of many types of vessels, including fishing boats, tugboats, and workboats.
