Rotary-wing Aircraft

Rotary-wing aircraft are a type of aircraft that use rotary wings (rotors) to generate lift and achieve vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities. These aircraft are commonly known as helicopters and are used in a variety of maritime applications, including search and rescue, offshore oil and gas operations, and military operations. Rotary-wing aircraft are highly maneuverable and can hover in place, making them ideal for tasks that require precision and agility. They are also capable of operating in areas where fixed-wing aircraft cannot, such as in urban environments or over rough terrain. However, rotary-wing aircraft have limited range and speed compared to fixed-wing aircraft, and are generally more expensive to operate and maintain.
