Battleships

Battleships are large, heavily armored warships designed to engage in naval combat with other battleships. They are equipped with powerful guns, typically ranging from 8 to 18 inches in diameter, and are capable of firing explosive shells over long distances. Battleships were the backbone of naval warfare during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and played a significant role in both World War I and World War II. They were eventually replaced by aircraft carriers as the primary capital ships of modern navies.
