Breadth, Registered

Registered Breadth is the measurement of a ship's width at its widest point, excluding any protruding structures. It is measured from the outermost point on one side of the hull to the outermost point on the other side, and is used to determine a ship's tonnage. Tonnage is a measure of a ship's internal volume and is used to calculate various fees and taxes. Registered Breadth is also used to determine a ship's stability and maneuverability. It is an important measurement for shipbuilders, naval architects, and port authorities.
