Cabotage

Cabotage refers to the transportation of goods or passengers between two points in the same country by a vessel registered in that country. It is a legal concept that regulates maritime trade and transport within a country's territorial waters. Cabotage laws are designed to protect a country's domestic shipping industry and can include restrictions on foreign vessels operating within a country's waters. Cabotage can also refer to the right of a country to regulate and control the movement of vessels within its territorial waters, including the right to deny entry to foreign vessels.
