COACP

COACP stands for Commanding Officer's Amphibious Certification Program. It is a training program designed to certify commanding officers of amphibious ships and landing craft for conducting amphibious operations. The program includes classroom instruction, simulations, and practical exercises to ensure that the commanding officers have the necessary knowledge and skills to plan, coordinate, and execute amphibious operations safely and effectively. The COACP is a critical component of the Navy's amphibious readiness and ensures that the commanding officers are prepared to lead their ships and landing craft in support of the Navy's mission.
