Dynamic Positioning Systems
Dynamic Positioning Systems (DPS) are computer-controlled systems that automatically maintain a vessel's position and heading using a combination of thrusters, propellers, and rudders. DPS is used to keep a vessel stationary or on a predetermined course, even in adverse weather conditions or strong currents.
