FIOST

FIOST stands for Free In and Out Stowed and Trimmed. It is a term used in maritime shipping contracts to indicate that the shipowner is responsible for the cost of loading and unloading cargo, as well as the cost of stowing and trimming it in the hold. This means that the shipper is not responsible for any of these costs and only needs to deliver the cargo to the port and receive it at the destination port. FIOST is one of several Incoterms (International Commercial Terms) used in international trade to define the responsibilities of the buyer and seller in a transaction.
