GPS Signals

GPS signals are electromagnetic signals transmitted by GPS satellites that carry information about the satellite's location and time. These signals are received by GPS receivers on Earth, which use the information to calculate the receiver's location and provide navigation and timing services. GPS signals are transmitted at two carrier frequencies, L1 and L2, and are modulated with navigation data and other information. The signals are subject to various types of interference and degradation, such as atmospheric effects, multipath, and intentional jamming. To mitigate these effects, GPS receivers use various techniques, such as signal filtering, error correction, and signal diversity.
