Hulk

In maritime context, Hulk refers to a ship that has been stripped of its rigging, masts, and equipment, and is no longer seaworthy. The hull of the ship is usually left intact and is used as a floating platform for various purposes such as storage, accommodation, or as a base for repairing other ships. Hulks can also be used as targets for naval gunnery practice or for testing new weapons and explosives. In some cases, hulks are deliberately sunk to create artificial reefs or to provide a habitat for marine life.
