Importer/exporter

An importer/exporter is a person or a company that is involved in the trade of goods and services between different countries. In the maritime context, an importer/exporter is responsible for the transportation of goods via sea routes. They are involved in the process of shipping goods from one country to another, which includes arranging for the cargo to be loaded and unloaded from ships, obtaining necessary permits and documentation, and ensuring that the cargo is transported safely and efficiently. Importers/exporters may work with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other parties involved in the international trade of goods.
