Jetty

A jetty is a structure that extends from the shore into the water and is used to protect a coastline or harbor from the effects of waves and currents. It is typically made of concrete, wood, or stone and can be either a solid structure or a series of interconnected pillars. Jetty construction can be used to create a sheltered area for boats to dock, or to prevent sediment from entering a harbor. They can also be used to create a channel for boats to navigate through shallow waters. Jetty construction requires careful planning and engineering to ensure that it is stable and can withstand the forces of the ocean.
