Jibing

Jibing is a sailing maneuver that involves turning the stern of the boat through the wind so that the wind changes from one side of the boat to the other side. This maneuver is used to change the direction of the boat when sailing downwind. During jibing, the mainsail is moved from one side of the boat to the other side, and the boom swings across the boat. It is important to execute this maneuver carefully to avoid accidents and damage to the boat. Jibing can be dangerous if not done properly, especially in strong winds or rough seas.
