Leash Laws

Leash laws are regulations that require dogs to be on a leash or otherwise under the control of their owner while in public areas. In maritime context, leash laws may apply to dogs on board boats or ships, particularly when in port or near shore. This is to ensure the safety of the dog, other passengers, and the vessel itself. Dogs that are not properly restrained can pose a danger by jumping overboard, interfering with navigation, or causing damage to the vessel. Additionally, leash laws may be enforced to prevent dogs from disturbing wildlife or other animals in the surrounding area.
