Lines Plan

A Lines Plan is a detailed diagram or drawing that shows the shape of a ship's hull in a cross-section view. It is used by naval architects and shipbuilders to design and construct a ship. The Lines Plan includes the ship's waterlines, buttock lines, and section lines, which are used to create a three-dimensional model of the ship's hull. The waterlines represent the level at which the ship floats in the water, the buttock lines represent the vertical planes of the ship's hull, and the section lines represent the horizontal planes of the ship's hull. The Lines Plan is an essential tool in ship design and construction, as it ensures that the ship's hull is structurally sound and meets the required specifications.
