Location Of Impact

Location of Impact refers to the point where a vessel or object collides with another vessel, object or the shore. It is a critical factor in determining the extent of damage caused by the impact and the subsequent actions required to be taken. The location of impact can be on the bow, stern, port or starboard side of the vessel. The location of impact can also be above or below the waterline, which can have a significant impact on the stability and buoyancy of the vessel. In case of a collision, the location of impact is determined by examining the damage caused to the vessel and the position of the striking object.
