Marine Engineering

Marine engineering is a branch of engineering that deals with the design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of the mechanical and electrical systems used in ships, boats, submarines, and offshore structures. It involves the application of engineering principles to the marine environment, including propulsion systems, power generation, HVAC systems, navigation and communication systems, and safety systems. Marine engineers work closely with naval architects to ensure that the mechanical and electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall design of the vessel. They also play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of the vessel, and are responsible for ensuring that all systems meet regulatory requirements.
