Maritime Incidents

Maritime incidents refer to any unplanned or unexpected events that occur in the maritime industry, including accidents, collisions, groundings, fires, explosions, piracy, and other security-related incidents. These incidents can result in loss of life, damage to vessels and cargo, environmental pollution, and disruption of trade. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has established regulations and guidelines to prevent and mitigate maritime incidents, including the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) and the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. In the event of a maritime incident, the ship's crew and other responders must follow established emergency procedures to ensure the safety of personnel and minimize the impact of the incident.
