Oily Bilge Water
Oily bilge water is the wastewater that accumulates in the lowest part of a ship, known as the bilge. This water is a mixture of seawater, oil, and other contaminants that have leaked into the bilge from various sources, such as the engine room, fuel tanks, and cargo holds. The remaining oil is stored in a sludge tank and disposed of onshore in an environmentally responsible manner.
