Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP)

The Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) is a comprehensive document that outlines the security measures, procedures, and protocols to be implemented at a maritime port facility to prevent and respond to potential security threats. The PFSP is developed in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, a set of international regulations designed to enhance the security of ships and port facilities. The PFSP includes details on the roles and responsibilities of port facility security personnel, access control measures, security equipment and systems, procedures for responding to security threats, and training and drills. It also includes a security assessment that identifies potential vulnerabilities and risks at the port facility. The PFSP is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure that it remains effective in the face of evolving security threats. It is a critical component of maritime security, helping to protect the safety of ships, port facilities, and the people who work at and use these facilities.
