Port Gangway

A port gangway, also known as a ship's brow or accommodation ladder, is a movable bridge-like structure used to connect a ship to a pier or another ship. It is typically made of metal and consists of a series of steps or rungs that can be adjusted to accommodate the height of the pier or ship's deck. The gangway is secured to the ship's side and can be raised or lowered as needed. It is used to allow crew members, passengers, and cargo to safely embark and disembark the ship. The design and construction of a gangway must meet strict safety standards to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of those using it.
