Railway Tracks

Railway tracks are the metal rails that are laid on the ground to form a path for trains to travel on. They are typically made of steel and are designed to withstand the weight of heavy trains and the forces generated by their movement. Railway tracks consist of two parallel rails that are spaced apart at a fixed distance, known as the gauge. The rails are supported by sleepers, which are wooden or concrete beams that are laid perpendicular to the rails. The sleepers are then anchored to the ground to provide stability and prevent movement. Railway tracks are a critical component of the transportation infrastructure and are used to transport goods and people across long distances.
