Vessel Traffic Management System

Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) is a system that provides services to vessels in order to improve the safety and efficiency of navigation, as well as the protection of the marine environment. It is a combination of hardware and software that integrates various technologies such as radar, Automatic Identification System (AIS), closed-circuit television (CCTV), and communication systems. The system provides real-time information on vessel traffic, weather conditions, and other relevant data to the vessel traffic service (VTS) operators who monitor and manage vessel traffic in a specific area. The VTMS also provides navigational assistance to vessels, such as route planning and collision avoidance advice.
