Voyage Risk Management

Voyage Risk Management (VRM) is the process of identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks associated with a maritime voyage, and taking measures to mitigate or eliminate those risks. VRM involves a systematic approach to risk management, which includes identifying potential hazards, assessing the likelihood and consequences of those hazards, and developing strategies to reduce or eliminate the risks. The goal of VRM is to ensure the safety of the crew, passengers, and cargo, as well as the protection of the environment and the vessel itself. VRM is an essential component of maritime operations, and is required by international regulations and industry standards.
