AFFF

AFFF stands for Aqueous Film Forming Foam, which is a type of fire suppression foam used in the maritime industry. AFFF is a mixture of water, fluorochemical surfactants, and foam stabilizers that is designed to quickly extinguish fires involving flammable liquids such as oil and gasoline. When AFFF is applied to a fire, it forms a thin film on the surface of the liquid, which helps to prevent the release of flammable vapors and suppresses the fire. AFFF is commonly used on board ships, offshore platforms, and other marine vessels to protect against the risk of fire.
