Bond Port

A Bond Port is a designated port where imported goods can be stored without payment of duties until they are ready to be released into the local market or exported. Bonded ports are often located near major shipping routes and are used as transshipment points for goods that are destined for other countries. Bonded ports are also used for temporary storage of goods that are awaiting further processing or transportation. These ports are heavily regulated and monitored by customs officials to prevent any illegal activities such as smuggling or tax evasion.
