Boom Cradle

A boom cradle is a device used to support and store a ship's boom when it is not in use. It is typically made of wood or metal and is designed to fit the shape of the boom. The cradle is attached to the ship's deck or rigging and holds the boom securely in place, preventing it from swinging or moving around. This helps to protect the boom from damage and also makes it easier to handle when it needs to be used. Boom cradles are commonly used on sailing ships and other vessels that have booms as part of their rigging.
