Bulk Carriers

Bulk carriers are merchant ships specifically designed to transport unpackaged bulk cargo, such as grains, coal, ore, and cement, in its cargo holds. They are equipped with large hatches on the deck for loading and unloading cargo, and have a single deck or double-deck design. Bulk carriers come in different sizes, ranging from small coastal vessels to giant ore carriers that can carry up to 400,000 deadweight tons. Due to the nature of their cargo, bulk carriers require special handling and safety precautions to prevent cargo shifting, capsizing, and other accidents.
