Cargo Deck

A cargo deck is a flat surface on a ship where cargo is loaded and unloaded. It is usually located on the main deck of the ship and can be either covered or open to the elements. Cargo decks are designed to withstand the weight and movement of cargo during transport and are equipped with various fittings such as lashing points, securing devices, and cargo handling equipment. The size and capacity of a cargo deck depend on the type and size of the ship, as well as the nature and volume of the cargo being transported.
