Deckhand

A deckhand is an entry-level position aboard a ship that involves performing various manual labor tasks on the deck. Deckhands are responsible for handling lines during docking and undocking, operating deck machinery, and performing general maintenance and cleaning duties. They may also be responsible for loading and unloading cargo, and assisting with navigation and safety procedures. Deckhands must be physically fit and able to work long hours in all weather conditions. They must also be able to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
