Factory Ship
A factory ship is a large vessel equipped with processing equipment for the catch of fish or other marine species. It is used for commercial fishing activities, where the catch is processed and frozen on board to preserve its quality. The factory ship can stay at sea for extended periods of time, and it is often accompanied by smaller fishing vessels that catch the fish and transfer them to the factory ship for processing. The processed fish is then stored in the ship's freezer until it is ready to be transported to shore for sale. Factory ships have been used since the early 20th century and have played a significant role in the development of the fishing industry.
