Frame Station(s)

In shipbuilding, a frame station is a reference point on the ship's longitudinal axis used to locate the frames (ribs) of the ship's hull. The frame stations are typically numbered sequentially from the bow to the stern, with the distance between each station being equal. These stations are used as a guide for the shipbuilder to construct the ship's hull, ensuring that the frames are properly spaced and aligned. Frame stations are also used as a reference point for various measurements and calculations during the shipbuilding process.
