Horns

Horns are sound producing devices used on ships to communicate with other vessels or to signal warnings. They are typically powered by compressed air and produce a loud, distinctive sound that can be heard over long distances. Horns are an important safety feature on ships, as they are used to signal the ship's presence in foggy conditions or to alert other vessels of potential danger. The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) require all vessels to carry a sound signaling device, such as a horn, and to use it in accordance with the regulations.
