Collisions

Collisions occur when two or more vessels come into contact with each other. Collisions can result in damage to the vessels involved, injuries or fatalities to crew members, and environmental damage. Collisions can occur due to a variety of factors, including human error, mechanical failure, adverse weather conditions, and navigational hazards. To prevent collisions, vessels must follow established rules of the road, maintain a proper lookout, and take appropriate action to avoid other vessels. In the event of a collision, vessels must report the incident to the appropriate authorities and take steps to mitigate any damage or environmental impact.
