Human Trafficking

Human trafficking is the illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of commercial sexual exploitation or forced labor. It involves the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons by means of threat, use of force or other forms of coercion, abduction, fraud, deception, abuse of power or vulnerability, or giving payments or benefits to a person in control of the victim. Human trafficking is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. It affects millions of people worldwide, including women, men, and children, and is often linked to other forms of organized crime, such as drug trafficking and money laundering.
