IMO Regulations

IMO (International Maritime Organization) Regulations are a set of rules and standards established by the United Nations agency responsible for the safety and security of shipping and the prevention of marine pollution by ships. These regulations cover a wide range of topics including ship design, construction, equipment, operation, and environmental protection. They are mandatory for all ships engaged in international voyages and are enforced by flag states and port states. The purpose of IMO regulations is to ensure the safety of life at sea, the protection of the marine environment, and the prevention of maritime accidents and incidents.
