Infrared Homing
Infrared Homing is a guidance system used by missiles and other projectiles to detect and track a target based on the infrared radiation emitted by the target. Infrared radiation is emitted by all objects with a temperature above absolute zero, and the amount of radiation increases with temperature. Infrared homing systems use this principle to detect the heat signature of a target, such as an aircraft or a ship, and guide the missile towards it. In the maritime context, infrared homing is used in anti-ship missiles to target enemy vessels.
