Ladder

A ladder is a vertical or inclined set of rungs or steps, typically leading from one level to another. In maritime context, ladders are used to provide access between different levels of a vessel, such as between decks or between the vessel and the shore. Ladders on ships must be designed and installed in accordance with international safety standards to ensure the safety of crew members and passengers. They must be made of durable materials and be securely fastened to the vessel. Ladders must also be equipped with handrails or other safety features to prevent falls. In addition, regular maintenance and inspections are necessary to ensure that ladders remain in good condition and are safe to use.
