Lashing Points

Lashing points are fixed or movable points on a ship's deck or cargo hold used to secure cargo with ropes, chains or wires. These points are designed to withstand the forces generated by the movement of the ship and the cargo during transportation. Lashing points are strategically placed to ensure that the cargo is secured in the most effective way possible, preventing it from shifting or falling overboard. The number and location of lashing points are determined by the size and type of cargo being transported, as well as the ship's design and capacity.
