Maritime Regulation

Maritime regulation refers to the set of rules, laws, and policies that govern the operation of ships and other vessels in navigable waters. These regulations are designed to ensure the safety of passengers and crew, protect the marine environment, and promote fair competition in the maritime industry. Maritime regulation covers a wide range of topics, including vessel construction and maintenance, crew training and certification, navigation and communication equipment, cargo handling and stowage, and environmental protection. Compliance with maritime regulations is enforced by national and international regulatory bodies, such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the United States Coast Guard (USCG).
