Naval Mines

Naval mines are explosive devices that are placed in water to damage or destroy ships, submarines, or other watercraft. They are typically deployed in strategic locations such as harbors, shipping lanes, and other areas of naval importance. Naval mines can be either contact or influence mines. Contact mines are detonated by physical contact with a ship or other object, while influence mines are detonated by the magnetic or acoustic signature of a ship passing nearby. Mines can be laid by ships, submarines, aircraft, or even by hand. They are a highly effective and low-cost weapon that can be used to deny access to an area or to disrupt enemy naval operations.
